Brownies is a favorite snack or desert in our house. I guess the same can be said for most houses! With my Brownies for a Crowd recipe, you can have plenty for your family, or take them to a special gathering to share.
I adapted this recipe to fit in my large square cake pan. It’s 14 x 14. If you don’t have a pan that large, you can bake it in two 13 x 9 inch pans. Or four 8 x 8 square pans. Or four 8 inch round pans.
Brownies For a Crowd
2 cups butter
2 cups cocoa
4 cups sugar
8 eggs, slightly beaten
2/3 cup oil
4 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups flour
Grease a 14 x 14 x 2 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter. Stir in cocoa, oil and sugar. Add slightly beaten eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour.
Bake for 30 minutes. Make sure you don’t over bake them. I actually take them out at 28 minutes.
There is so much you can do with this recipe.
You can stir in chocolate chips, or nuts (or both) when you add the flour. You can frost them after they have cooled. My favorite way is to drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of the brownies once they are in the pan, then bake. So yummy!
I freeze these after baking, and they are great. Just defrost & serve.
Whether your cooking brownies for a crowd, or just your family and freeze the extra, these brownies turn out great every time. Adults and children both love them. These are definitely a crowd pleaser.

I love that this is for a crowd! I could use this recipe to stash extra in the freezer or make for a family birthday party. I'm also going to check out Potluck Sunday. Thanks for the recommendation

Literally in the middle of making these and just noticed the sugar
type and amount is missing from the list of ingredients. Hope I can
figure something out and quick or that will be a lot of wasted butter and
cocoa!
