Today I’m sharing The View From My Front Porch. Fall is definitely here in Kentucky. In this first picture, you can see a little fall color. The Hardy Hibiscus in the middle of the picture is changing color. Behind that, you can see a few branches sticking out of the ground. That was another Hibiscus that has already lost it’s leaves. You can also see lots of leaves on the ground along the tree line.
The Petunias on the porch are still blooming. I’m surprised, actually. The three pumpkins are ones that grew in our compost pile. They are finishing ripening on the porch as the vine died. They will soon become pureed pumpkin in my freezer. 🙂
Looking straight ahead off my front porch, there is not a lot to see. lol The Cat Mint on the left, is still growing strong, put it is no longer blooming. The Butterfly Bush on the right has very few blooms left, and the leaves are starting to change color.
To the right of my porch, the Mandevilla is still blooming. This was the first year I put it on the front porch, and it is still loving it there. The blue spot out in the yard is the pool being taken down for the year.
The Petunias and the Mandevilla on the front porch are the only thing blooming right now. I’m really missing the summer blooms, but I’m enjoying the cooler temperatures and lower humidity.
In other news, we had two kittens born! This one is named Mittens. All four of it’s paws look like he’s wearing white mittens.
This little one has a couple of names, it varies according to who you ask. lol One name is Jelly Bean, or Duckie. As you can tell by the pink zebra blanket, the kittens are very spoiled.
And that’s The View From My Front Porch, with some kittens, too!
