The most exciting thing that happened in my kitchen this week was my baking a birthday cake for my husband. That’s my husband with his cake in the picture. It wasn’t a fancy cake at all. But it served it purpose of being portable to take next door to my father in laws so he could celebrate with us, too.
My joke has been that there is a reason there is only one candle on the cake. You know the set the cake on fire jokes. lol The true story is I could only find one candle in the drawer. lol I need to remember to put candles on the shopping list, as we have another birthday coming up next week.

Saturday – Sabbath- Make ahead meals- Take out pizza
Sunday – soup & sandwich day – Breakfast for supper, eggs, sausage, toast
Monday – chicken – Oven Baked Chicken, baked potatoes, corn
Tuesday – pizza/pasta – Spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, peas
Wednesday - beef – Beef & vegetable soup, homemade bread
Thursday - chicken - Chicken & rice casserole in the crockpot, green beans
Friday – Sabbath Dinner – Meatloaf, oven roasted sweet potato fries, corn
