I finally finished working on my Slow Cooker Chinese Chicken Recipe. Check it out, it’s yummy!
I’m still oven less at the moment. I think I’m going tomorrow night to get a new stove. I’m hoping to find a scratch and dent stove at a discount. I’ve searched online, so I know what I want, and how much they sell for online. So I’m hoping for a good deal.
I had sloppy joes on the menu last week. I told my daughter the day before that I needed her to make homemade buns for it. the next day. The next morning, she asked me if I got the stove fixes. I said no. And she asked me, “Well, if you didn’t get the stove fixed, how am I going to make buns?” The kid had a point. lol New plan. lol We used store bought buns.
I’ve noticed when doing the grocery list and shopping, that we are buying a lot less butter, eggs, flour, and sugar. Apparently, we bake a lot. lol There has been an increase in buying snack foods. ugh. I’ll be glad to have a working oven again!
My niece got married on Saturday. I had sent my father in law his supper on Friday, and he just heated it up in the microwave on Saturday. My husband and two sons decided to go to the movies after we left the wedding. They stopped and got fast food to eat for supper.
We, my two daughters and my mother, took my oldest, married daughter home. We visited with her until her husband came home. We were going to leave, but they talked us into staying for a cook out. They are awesome cooks! They cooked grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, grill asparagus, and grilled corn. It was all so good! I stopped eating long enough to take a picture of my grilled chicken and asparagus.
I have to get the recipe from her for the marinade she used on the asparagus. It was so good! I’ll share it with you after she does. 🙂
