Thank you to Depend for sponsoring today’s post about the #underwareness movement.
Becoming a Mom brings many wonderful things. Joy, happiness, and more love for this new little person than you ever thought possible. Becoming a Mom also brings it’s share of hardships. Including sleepless nights, and the thought that you might never shower again. For some Moms, those hardships include light bladder leakage. You don’t have to be an older mom for this to happen to you, either. According to Depend, there are more people with bladder leakage in their 20’s than in their 80’s!
For some women, they start having light bladder leakage after their first baby. It started for me after my 4th baby was born. When you are a young mother, and light bladder leakage first begins, it’s very hard to admit that you have this problem. Women have always been afraid to let anyone know that they have light bladder leakage. Because it is something that women don’t usually talk about, we all think we are the only ones experiencing it.
You are not alone! There are 51 million women who experience bladder leakage. The average age of someone with bladder leakage is only 52! More people with bladder leakage are 50 or younger than 60 or older!
Encouragement for Moms with Light Bladder Leakage and the Underwareness Movement
It’s time that we get over being embarrassed, and start talking about what we are experiencing. And what we can do to make it less of a hardship. Period pads were the only thing available for bladder leakage protection for years. Now there are solutions available made specifically for light bladder leakage. Depend provides a variety of discreet products that help people regain their freedom and get their lives back, including Silhouette Active Fit Silhouette Active Fit for Women briefs.
Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs are a new moderate-absorbency brief that feature a thin design for complete comfort with the trusted protection of the Depend brand and a lower rise+ for an underwear-like look, fit and feel. Silhouette Active Fit briefs are for women of all ages.
Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs are not a bulky diaper, but are thin, with a lower rise underwear-like look, fit and feel. The waist elastic stretches and moves with you. Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs are available in black and beige colors.
Depend is entering year two of Underwareness, a social movement and charitable cause to break down the bladder leakage stigma. As part of Underwareness, the Depend brand is encouraging people to show their support for women with bladder leakage. For every photo and video shared using #Underwareness and featuring Depend products, the Depend brand will donate $1, up to $3 million, through 2016 to fund charities that advance the research and education of bladder leakage.
Light bladder leakage doesn’t have to ruin your life. Now you can get your confidence back and get your life back. Try it for yourself with this Depend free sample! While you’re there, you will find more information about the drop your pants for underwareness movement.

I only have an issue when I am sick with a cold and sneeze or cough a lot. Given that I have given birth to 4 kids, I imagine I could be having worse problems with it than I am. I haven’t tried Depends yet. I just use regular pads.
