Bible in 90 Days Check In

October 21, 2012 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We are beginning Week 10! It’s gone by fast. We’re down to only 4 weeks left!

I am still behind, still reading and making progress. I am most definitely NOT giving up. And neither should you! Keep reading!

We can ALL do this and finish together!!

Amy from Mom’s Tool Box, our host for The Bible in 90 Days Challenge, has a very special post this week. Stop by starting Monday morning to read The Bible in 90 Days Week 10 Rally. In addition to commenting below with your update, please comment on her check in post also. This will be your chance to see how the hundreds of others all reading for this challenge are doing. So please take the extra couple of minutes to check in there as well. Thanks!

Don’t forget the Bible in 90 Days Twitter Party!  To make keeping up with the party easier, they’ve started a TweetGrid for the parties. Here’s the link:

http://tweetgrid.com/grid?l=2&q1=%23B90days&q2=From%3AMomsToolBox+OR+From%3AJulieDutch&q3=TO%3A_YourUserName&htag=B90Days

You can follow all the posts with the #B90Days tag. Just do a search on Twitter for #B90Days, and the results should be all the posts with that hashtag. I don’t spend very much time on Twitter, but I have attended a few Twitter parties. They can be a fun way to gather with others. I personally can’t keep up with them. lol The Tweetgrid linked above looks like a great way to follow the conversation.

Do’s for Catching up With the Bible in 90 Days

Don’ts for Catching up With the Bible in 90 Days

You Are Here in the Bible (Ted Cooper of the Bible in 90 Days Ministry created You are Here in the Bible to help Bible in 90 Days readers get a snapshot of most of the books of the Bible as they were reading. His aim was to keep readers reading and not researching, therefore preserving more time for reading the entire Bible.  This link takes you to page of links to each of his entries.) These You Are Here in the Bible pages are great for yourself, or to do together as a family.

Ok, it’s time to leave a comment below with your progress.

God bless you in your journey to read The Bible in 90 Days!

I missed last week’s check-in because we had a bit of a family change. My cousin was arrested and DCFS took her 3 month old away. My husband and I took him home with is, at least for the time being. That said, I need to focus on our children and the tremendous change we’ve seen here. I already have a 26 month old and an 8 month old. I am still reading through the Bible and chronologically, but I will not be continuing in the 90 day challenge. I’m disappointed, but I believe that this is the right decision for me. I’ll pray for you all through the remainder of the challenge.

    In Christ,

    Julie

Julie, I wish you the best with the change that your family has been through. I pray that you will be blessed with the focus you need. Hang in there!

Julie, I’m sorry to hear about your cousin. How great that you and your husband are able to take care of the little baby. You really have your hands full. It is totally understandable that you will not be able to complete the challenge. Keep reading! The length of time it takes is not as important as reading the Bible all the way through. Keep reading, and maybe you’ll be able to try the challenge again in the spring when life has (hopefully!) settled down some. I’m praying for your family and I would love to hear from you when you’ve finished reading the Bible all the way through! God Bless you and your family!

Well, I have fallen off the wagon this week! I am on day 59 (I think we should be on 63/64 somewhere in there).

I’d like to blame it on my 2 new foster babies (9 months and 2 years and so sweet), but my motivation was declining anyway.

I will be trying to get back on track this week.

Ah…yes, it is hard to fit the reading in when there are babies to be cuddled and played with. Especially if they are new to the family. Keep reading when you can, you’ll catch up! Praying for your family and the new babies. God bless your family!

Good Aftermath all! Still hanging in there. I am still behind but I am determined to finish. I love reading the Word so I am in for the long haul. I pray that everyone is continuing to be blessed by His Word !

Hi Keziah! You have a great attitude! I love that! 🙂 I’m still behind, too. Like you, I’m determined to finish on time! Let’s keep reading together!
      Have a blessed week!

I’m about 4 days behind. Last week was a bad week, so I should be able to catch up this week. Thanks for directing us to Amy’s post. It was very motivating.

Hi Ginny! I’m glad you found Amy’s post to be helpful. She’s awesome! Keep reading, you can catch up quickly! 🙂
      Have a blessed week!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
