I recently received a copy of the new book The A-Z of C.S. Lewis to review.

C. S. Lewis’s work is widely known and regarded, but enthusiasts are often only aware of one part of his work-his children’s stories and his popular theology; and yet he wrote so much more, including science fiction and literary criticism. This volume brings together all aspects of C S Lewis’s life and thought. About the Author:

Colin Duriez was for many years a commissioning editor at Inter-Varsity Press UK. He has subsequently appeared as a commentator on DVDs of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings, and BBC television’s The Worlds of Fantasy. He is also the author of The Inklings Handbook (with the late David Porter), J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis: The Story of Their Friendship, and Tolkien and The Lord of the Rings, and has contributed to definitive reference works relating to Tolkien such as The Tolkien Encyclopedia (Routledge).

The A-Z of C.S. Lewis by Colin Curiez is a comprehensive book of everything C.S. Lewis. It’s not just a book to read, it’s written in encyclopedia format. The book is over 350 pages. It covers everything about C.S. Lewis. From his life, marriage, and friends to his career, writings, and everything in between.

Also included in the encyclopedia like entries are references and content of his books. The Narnia books are heavily represented, with entries for characters, worlds, and vocabulary.

This book is for you if you are reading  Narnia or one of his other books for school, or want to learn more about this Narnia everyone is talking about. If your a C.S. Lewis fan in general, you will love this book. I love the ease of finding information. Now when my son asks me a Narnia question, as he often does, lol, I will be able to quickly and easily find an answer for him. And we both will be happy.

The A-Z of C.S. Lewis is an excellent reference book for all ages.
