We got all our errands done, and stopped for ice cream. 🙂 The kids had a coupon for a free cone that they got at the library reading program. Calen tried to trade his to me though. “I’ll trade you my coupon for a milkshake!” lol No go. If one trades, they all want to trade, and I end up eating 4 cones! lol I had a small chocolate shake, and Mel had an Oreo Blizzard. Did you know that Dairy Queen doesn’t have chocolate ice cream? They only kind of cone you can get is vanilla! Or is that just our DQ? It’s wrong, very wrong, to not be able to get chocolate!!
When we got home, there was a message on the answering machine from the Extension Office. The girl who got the 1st place ribbon for her skirt at sewing camp, wasn’t old enough to go to the state fair, the kids have to be 9 as of January 1st. So Calen’s camo shorts are going to the state fair! How exciting! He’s never been to the state fair, and doesn’t remember visiting the exhibits at our county fair, but is excited about the chance to win some money. lol I’ll post a pic of them, before I drop them off at the office later this week.
Supper is cooking, most of the schoolwork is finished. Just a couple of things left to do. But they will get done TODAY! I just finished helping Mel with her Algebra 1/2. She just doesn’t like math. Therefore, doesn’t always try her hardest. sigh. I’m going to go help Calen with his math, then do a quick pick up before supper. Very quick! lol
