I have spent this week trying to keep the kids on track while their cousins were on spring break. Not an easy task. lol So they did some school work, and spent a lot of time playing with the cousins.
They found a tree frog the other day. We have a lot of tree frogs around here.
What surprised me about this one was that it would play dead. While I was taking pictures, it got turned on it’s back and it just laid there. If my son turn it over, it would try to hop away. It was really funny.
On Easter Sunday, the kids made candy. It’s been a family tradition for a number of years for the kids to make their own Easter Candy. I bought this mold when I just had two kids, about 19 years ago I think. The two halves snap together for making a solid or hollow bunny. Some years, like this year, we make solid bunnies in half the mold for each person. This year, we made chocolate peanut butter bunnies. Yummy!
This tradition means we get to spend time together making candy. AND we don’t end up buying a lot of candy at the store. AND it tastes better than store bought! Here’s Zack with his bunny. He’s the only one that agreed to let me post his picture. lol
I posted a couple of reviews for The Old Schoolhouse Homeschool Crew this past week. AIMS Educational Foundation From Head to Toe and the Write with World writing curriculum. I liked them both, so stop over and read what I thought about them.

We have little frogs around here but they don’t look like your tree frogs. My husband and oldest are always trying to bring them into the house and scare me with them.
