Coming Soon!
If your a regular reader of Linda’s Lunacy, you will have noticed the “Something Exciting is Coming” button. As you can see, the button has now turned into a countdown clock!
What’s it counting down to?
When my very own Opensky shop opens!
I’m so excited!
Opensky is different from other online stores. You will know where your product comes from when you buy it. You will be able to buy from someone that you know, and trust.
I have been in other OpenSky shops, and I look forward to offering you products that I like, and have personally picked out for you. Products that I hope you will like, and enjoy. Products that will make your life a little easier and more cheerful.
I’m not going to give you any hints! lol
I hope you’ll come back on August 10th and join me for the grand opening of my OpenSky store!
A Makeover and A Photo Session
My 13 year old daughter has been trying to talk me into letting her do my hair and make-up.
Well, yesterday was the day!
She took very good care of her dear, old Mom. She didn’t poke my eye out, or anything!
Here’s the new profile picture she took for me after hair and make-up.
Since one of my 2010 Blogging Goals was to include more of me on my blog, here’s my favorite picture that she took.
Yes, I’m silly! And I didn’t edit the clothesline out. But at least you know I wasn’t goofing off all day. I did do laundry!
Twitter Party
No, not twitterpated like Flower in Bambi, but a party on Twitter. By the way, twitterpated is not in the dictionary, but it should be, then I could make sure I was spelling it right!
Savvy Blogging hosted a party on Twitter last night. It was so fun! Those tweets were flying fast and furious! I had a hard time keeping up, but I managed to keep up with reading. I didn’t have enough time to tweet myself, though, except for answering each question.
I learned so much last night. I took notes during the party and I also was able to go back to read the tweets this morning. I had to leave the party early last night, so I was able to read what I missed.
Here are a just a few of the things I learned, this post would be too long if I tried to list it all:
Blogging should be for fun!
Long posts should be divided into 2 or more posts.
Spelling and grammar errors …. try to avoid them.
Switch to WordPress! thinking….thinking….
CPC is cost per click, CPM is cost per 1000 impressions, UVM is unique viewers per month.
Keep track of all freebies and revenue…you are required to report fair market value as income!
Do not be afraid about the taxation of money you earn from blogging. It’s a good problem to have!
SEO = Search Engine Optimization = KEYWORDS
So much great information, that I’m still trying to process it all!
Amended 2010 Blog Goals
Well, we’re still in January, and I’ve already messed up my goal of posting everyday.
sigh….
In my defense, I have been busy with kids, and goat kids, housework, schoolwork, Bible study, prayer time, laundry, Facebook games…not necessarily in that order…..And way to many Facebook games!
I have cut out all but 2 Facebook games. The kids keep asking me why I’m quitting the games. Because they take too much time! Time that could be better spent on other things, like dishes and laundry. And extra school work for the kids. Ok, just kidding on that last one!
Maybe I should count each post separately, instead of each day. So if I end up the year with 365 posts, then I have met my goal.
Yeah, that’s it, I’m amending my goal three weeks in.
My official 2010 Blog Goal is 365 posts.
There, that was easy!
2010 Blogging Goals
It seems like the whole blogging world is setting goals for 2010.
I don’t want to be left out.
It can never hurt to have goals, right?
So here are my blog goals for 2010:
1. Blog every day.
I plan to meet this goal by blogging every day. lol I will post something everyday.
2. Put more of me into my blog.
I don’t always let me shine through. So I plan on letting the real me show more in my blog. look out!!!
3. Comment more on other blogs.
I tend to read and run. So I plan to make an effort to comment on other blogs more.
That’s it, just 3. By keeping the number down, I hope to meet all my blog goals in 2010.
