Goats
We were disappointed to find out that our goat is not pregnant after all. 🙁 Now everybody loves her, and we can’t trade her back. So we don’t know what we’re going to do now. Get a male? Another pregnant doe? Get kids and wait until their old enough to breed? decisions, decisions.
School
Is going well still. Mel is plugging along. Her hatred for algebra seems to be lessening some. Or maybe she’s just not showing it as much. She’s advancing in drivers ed, the book part. Time to call the ins co and get her listed so she can actually drive.
Here’s the little kids schedule:
8:00 get up, get dressed, make bed
8:30 breakfast, morning chore
9:00 bible, history
9:30 phonics, handwriting
10:00 break
10:30 math
11:00 chores, break
11:30 read aloud
12:00 lunch
12:30 chores, break
1:00 science
1:30 ASL, spanish, computer, whatever 🙂
2:00 chores
It works pretty well, and it’s not too hard to stick to. Well, except for the fact that they don’t like to get up by eight. I WON’T wake them up, I let them get up when they are ready. But if they get up late, I just start while they are still eating breakfast.
I just wish I could figure out how to get it all in, in one day. Schoolwork, and housework, and some me time. If schoolwork is going good, that means the house isn’t and vice versa. You’d think that after all these years, I would have figured it out already. Nope, not me. 🙂 Guess I’m still a work in progress. 🙂
Time to get off and get breakfast. We’re going to the World Chicken Festival. Yeah for chicken! hahahaha
