The trip to the clinic went well. Calen’s exam was fine, and his blood work came back fine, also. I asked the dr is Calen’s immune system was up enough to get birds, gerbils and/or hamsters. She said yes, as long as he washed his hands after handling them. And he’s not allowed to clean out the cages. He didn’t seem to mind that at all. lol He was happy to hear that he wasn’t ALLOWED to do any of the dirty work! lol We stopped at Michaels, 🙂 , and KFC, and were on our way home. We got home a few minutes after 1. sigh I’m tired.
I called for Melissa’s results this afternoon. The nurse told me the lab work was back, but that the dr had left for the day, and she couldn’t tell me the results because he hadn’t seen them yet. She had to call the hospital and get the xray results, and when I called back, she told me they were normal. I asked if that was all that they said and she told me they said: normal bilateral view of both knees, no sign of any joint problem, and no effusion or abnormalities. So my question now is, why could she give me the xray results and not the blood test results? The dr hadn’t seen the xray results either. I didn’t think of this when I was on the phone with her, or I would have asked. Does that mean that the blood tests showed something? Trying not to wonder too much about that. I left a message for the doc with the name and number of a pediatric rhuematologist. Yes, I had to find one myself. They didn’t know of one, and none of rheumatologists they knew will see children. So anyway, I found one, and the nurse said she’ll put all the info on the dr’s desk and he’ll call me tomorrow. sigh I hate waiting for dr’s to call!!!!!!!
Time to get over it, and go fix supper!
