I took Melissa to get her x-rays last night. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time to register, thing finally got moving. We were in and out in 1 hour and 40 minutes. This hospital has a serious problem with registrations, but it doesn’t think so. sigh. Thankfully, we don’t have to go there often. The tech showed us Mel’s x-rays. There is nothing obvious to us on them. You could see like a white cloud, must be the swelling. The tech said “I don’t know what’s wrong with you, must be a joint problem.” I’m not sure what his training was, the person who takes the x-rays is not always qualified to read them. But it was nice to know that he didn’t see anything either. PTL that there were no growths, spots etc. that we could see! So now we wait for the radiologists report, will probably be 2 or 3 days. I took Mel through McD’s drive thru for some fries, and then we were on our way home. It was an uneventful ride home. But then……….
We got out of the van, and were walking up the sidewalk to the house. A cow on the hill moo’d, so I moo’d back (This is not called Linda’s Lunacy for nothing! ROFLOL!!). So the cow moo’d, I moo’d, cow moo’d, I moo’d, …. then…..from across the street from our driveway……. we here this long, low groooooooowl, GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I look at Mel…….she looks at me…….we start walk/running up the sidewalk, without looking back!! Mel can hardly walk, and does so limpingly, so it was a great effort for her to attempt to go fast. I was a good mother, and let her go up the porch stairs first! But I almost pushed her up! lol It WAS NOT a dog! It was too long, and low of a growl to be a dog. This was something BIG!!!!!
Background…..A couple of weeks ago, our neighbor at the end of the road said he’s dogs were going crazy one night. So He went out to see what their problem was. He couldn’t see anything, but they were still going crazy. He went and got his big spotlight, and shined it in his yard. He was very surprised to see a big black bear in his yard! And there have been other sightings in our small rural county. So there are eye witnesses to the fact that their is a bear in my neighborhood! Now I’m not saying that there definitely was a bear here last night. But it sure sounded like it!
When we came running in the house, D was like “What’s wrong?” We had to be careful about what we said, because Zachary was bothered for a week after hearing about the neighbors bear sighting. So D went out later and he heard it too! But the sound was now getting farther down the road, towards the neighbor that spotted him before. D called his Dad (his lights were still on) and told him to go out on his porch and listen. But now this morning D said he can still hear it, so it wasn’t a bear. I said “Well, maybe what you heard wasn’t a bear. But what we heard last night WAS NOT a dog!!” sigh Why do men have trouble believing women when they say they heard something!!!! GRRRRRRR
Well, time to get moving. The kids that are awake are asking for breakfast.
