Finding God in the Land of Narnia by Kurt Bruner & Jim Ware The authors show and explain all the symbolism that C.S. Lewis put in the Narnia book series. I hadn’t picked up on all of them, so I’m enjoying this book.
I am also reading The Dawn Treader out loud to the kids.
Knowing Aslan The author uses parallels to lead the reader to an understanding of Christ and what He did for them by drawing lessons from The Chronicles of Narnia. This little book is hiding a wealth inside its little pages. This is an excellent book to use as an evangelism tool. I would love to get more copies of this book to give out, it’s that good.

I'm glad you are enjoying your Narnia companion reads, I never realized when I read them as a kid that there was so much more meaning in them than the stories. It's easier to see now that I'm an adult, but I'm sure I've missed a lot as well. They're always good re-reads though!

Sounds like you are on a Narnia jag. My girls and I read Voyage of the Dawn Treader aloud this summer. They are 18 and 22 years old. Never to old for a great book read aloud!

You are definitely busy reading Linda. I have always loved reading, but last year I read maybe five books total. This year I ventured into blogging I have so many books coming in that I am constantly reading (although mostly kids books).
Thank you for participating in the Book Lover’s Blog Hop @ Story Time Under the Stars. I hope you will link up a book review and participate in this week’s Book Lover’s Blog Hop as well.

We're big Narnia fans over here, especially my 4-year-old. He loves reading the easy-reader adaptations and acting them out. I think I'll look into that first book for myself.
