Last week was a bust in the kitchen. Several of the kids were sick, and I caught it, too. Thankfully, really, thankfully, it was “only” a bad cold. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want any of us to be sick with a cold, but it is much better to be sick with that, thatn with the flu that is going around. Definitely don’t want the flu!
So the most I did in the kitchen was make the kids juice, and broth with noodles. I’m so glad I had some home canned turkey broth on hand!

The Mini Turkey Pot Pies never happened last week, so they are on the menu again this week.
I’m using frozen foods again tonight. I don’t feel guilty at all, since I’ve been sick. And taking care of the kids while they were sick. Even though they are teenagers, they still like lots of attention from Mom.
Cornbread is on the menu this week. This is the cornbread recipe I use. We love it!
