Grace of God DVD Review & Giveaway
Grace of God has a really interesting story line.
Having lost his faith many years ago, Detective Bill Broadly is called to investigate the disappearance of the local church’s collection plate. As he questions its various church members, rumors swirl as more congregants learn about the theft. When one unexpected church-goer confesses to stealing the funds, the confession resurrects Broadly’s views on God, and helps him see that through faith and belief there really is rebirth and redemption.
Someone stole $30,000 from the church safe. The detective that is hired to investigate is an atheist. This makes for some very interesting conversations as he questions everyone that had access to the church safe.
Over the coarse of the investigation, we see the detective change his view of God. When the thief confesses, the detective is torn between turning the person in, or covering for them.
Grace of God has a three important lessons for all of us.
Stealing on every level is wrong, even that ink pen that you think no one will miss.
Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons is still wrong.
No matter what we do wrong, the grace of God is real.
Grace of God, 99 minutes long, is not rated. However, it has received a rating from Dove of ages 12+ up. There is a scene where a man gets punched. Domestic violence is talked about, and a woman has a bruise on her face from it. Honestly, young kids are just not going to be interested in watching this movie. It’s mostly just people sitting around talking.
Grace of God releases on DVD March 24, 2015.
