The Unbreakable Boy Movie Review
A father, mother, and brother who do everything they can to make sure Austin’s life is amazing. That’s the gist of this movie. But there is more to it than that.
An accidental pregnancy, a genetic disease, alcoholism, faith, and autism all play a part is this story. And this movie is based on a true story!

I loved The Unbreakable Boy! All of the actors in this movie did an excellent job. It held my interest the whole time.
The strength of the parents is shown over and over again. A younger brother that stands up to bullies for his brother. An imaginary friend plays a big part in this movie. And you will be surprised by whose imaginary friend it is!
There are happy parts to this movie, and sad parts, as well. I was moved to tears a couple of times. In both parts, happy, and sad. The drinking of alcohol is seen in a few scenes. However, it is not shown as glamorous, and consequences are shown as well.
The Unbreakable Boy is rated PG for some violence, language, alcohol abuse, and strong thematic material.

The Unbreakable Boy is an awesome, inspiring movie. A story of family bonds, faith, and redemption. Sometimes, as parents, we don’t have the strength to do hard things for ourselves. But we can, and do, find the strength to do hard things for our kids. That’s exactly what the father in this movie did.
