A birthday cake was made in my kitchen this week! It was my birthday, so my daughter, 18, make me my favorite chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.
There are only 5 candles on the cake so as not to set off the fire alarm. hahaha Ok, I’ll tell you. I am now 51 years old. And what an incredible blessing that is! So…anyway….here’s my piece of cake.
If you want to make the best chocolate cake and chocolate frosting ever. Buy Hershey’s Cocoa and follow the recipes on the back of the can. Really. It’s the best ever. And the frosting tastes like fudge!
I served Chili Cheese Bake Potatoes last Friday. This is my husbands plate. As you can tell, he helped himself to the cheese. lol They were so good! Those are my home canned green beans, too.
This morning, I made homemade granola bars for my daughter to take to her volleyball games this afternoon. Some are still in the pan, and some are already wrapped for her to take in this picture. I had these chocolate chips left over from Christmas baking. So she gets to take festive granola bars today. lol
This recipe makes great granola bars. I’m not sure of it’s origins, though, so I have to research it before I can share it here.
