I have been on a mission to get healthier for a while now. My latest blood tests have shown some concerning numbers. So I have to get serious about getting healthy. Before I am seriously unhealthy.

Getting Healthy with Linda
One of the things I am doing to get healthier is attempting to become more physically active. I have been carrying a pedometer for over a year now. I can easily get 3000 steps a day. If I go for a walk outside, or use Wii Fit, I can get 5-7 thousands steps.
The recommended number of steps to have an active, healthy lifestyle is 10,000 steps. I have no clue how anyone can fit 10,000 steps into their day. Unless they have a job where they are walking all day. I am taking care of my home and family, and working on the computer. It’s very hard to get that many steps in my small house.
The last couple of weeks, I have been trying to walk more, and have been able to hit 5,000 steps for over half that time. I’m not sure if I will ever have time to get 10,000 steps a day, but I would like to consistently get 7,000 or above for at least 5 days a week.
So I’m going to report my steps here weekly. I will also share other things I am doing as I go along.
Today I have 5443, the other days of this week I had 3576, 2547, 2944, 2954, 5134. One day I didn’t use my pedometer. So I it 5,000 twice, and averaged around 3,000 the other days. I need to get that average up!
Anyone else want to join me in getting healthier? I sure could use the support, and some ideas!
