I’m home from church this morning with Calen, who has a cold. Hopefully he’ll feel better, and we can go tonight.
I just signed up to memorize 2 Bible verses a month on Beth Moore’s blog. They started on the 1st of January, but I skipped the first 2 week period, as I’m finishing up memorizing Psalm 121. We recently finished Beth Moore’s “Stepping Up, a Journey through the Psalms of Ascent”. and part of that was to memorize Psalm 121:
1) I will raise my eyes toward the Mountains. Where will my help come from?
2) My help comes from the Lord, The Maker of heaven and earth.
3) He will not allow your foot to slip: your Protector will not slumber.
4) Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep.
5) the LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side.
6) the sun will not strike you by day, or the moon by night.
7) the LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life.
8) The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever. (HSCB)
An awesome passage to have memorized, don’t you think? I almost have it down, and will soon be picking out a verse for January 15th.
Beth has an awesome scripture memory mini tutorial so go check that out. Even if your not going to participate for in the memorization for the year, it’s still an awesome tutorial.
