Kitchen Island

I have a small kitchen, so I always feel short of space. Work space and storage space.

So I made an island out of a microwave stand.

I have a large cutting board on top for extra work space. I have 2 large crockpots, my dehydrator and waffle maker stored on the shelves.

I have it next to the stove for extra work space there, but if I have others in the kitchen helping me, I can roll it away from the stove. I can get more people working in the kitchen, and that’s a big help, especially on holidays.

I bought the microwave stand at a yard sale for $5!

That really Works For Me!

Hi there! I am stopping over from Works for Me Wednesday. I enjoyed your post about how you turned a yard sale find into something useful in your kitchen. I would love an island but just cannot afford to buy a brand new one right now. What a great alternative!
