For me, the style of music is not as important as the lyrics. Listening to the songs on this cd, I really liked the lyrics. My favorite song is In The Eyes. 1Girl Nation doesn’t have a video online of this song, so here’s a snippet of the lyrics:

Our girls are constantly bombarded with the message that they are not good enough. It is so awesome for them to be able to hear that in their Father’s eyes they are most definitely good enough.

I didn’t tell her that I received the cd. I just put it in and started playing it. She said, “Hey, I know that song!” When While We Are Young started. She had heard it on the radio a few times. And I thought I was going to introduce her to a new band. lol Here’s the video of that song.
