I recently received an Ozeri Digital Pedometer to review. I’ve used a few pedometers over the years. I do like to keep track of how many steps I take, and the progress I have made. The pedometers I have used in the past were not digital. If you’ve ever used a pedometer you know the ones I’m talking about. They make a clicking sound when you walk. I was always a little self concous about wearing those pedometers in public. Everybody didn’t need to hear me clicking when I walked.
That’s the first thing I noticed about this Ozeri Digital Pedometer. It’s silent! I know what some of you are thinking. “But it’s digital. It’s going to be hard to set up.” I found it very easy to set up and start using. Here are a few features of the Ozeri 4x3runnerTM Digital Pocket 3D Pedometer with Tri-Axis Technology. That’s it’s official long name.
•New 3D Tri-Axis Sensor (with X, Y, Z vector detection) provides superior accuracy in any position.
•Designed for ultimate versatility, the 4x3runner is the world’s first pedometer to feature dual walking and running modes.
•Records steps, distance, speed, calories, fat burned and exercise time.
•Steps2Target feature tracks and calculates your steps toward your daily target.
•Counts up to 1 million steps with 30-Day Memory, and includes a built-in Clock and Sports Timer with Auto Sleep technology.
•Used by professional athletes, the 4x3runner boasts a slim design that fits in any pocket and large easy to use buttons.
•Comes with a belt clip and detachable lanyard included.
Ozeri Digital Pedometer Review
I’ve been wearing this pedometer now for over three weeks. And I love it! I’ve been using the waistband clip and it’s very comfortable. It comes with a lanyard so you can clip it onto your clothing if you don’t have a waistband, or find it more comfortable. The pedometer can also be slipped in your pocket
I have found this Ozeri Digital Pedometer to be very accurate. I’ve tested it a few times by counting the steps myself and comparing my number to what the pedometer says.
When you first set up your pedometer you can set a goal of the number of steps you want to walk in a day. The first screen, as shown in the above picture, whows the number of steps taken so far, the percent of my goal that I have reached in the bottom left corner, and the time in the bottom right corner.
When you press the MODE button the next screen shows your goal, and tells you how many more steps you have to take to reach your goal. So you don’t have to do the math! IF you keep pressing the MODE button, additional screens tell you how many calories you’ve burned, how many miles you’ve walked, and how many ounces you’ve lost. Keep in mind that those numbers come from the steps. If your doing more strenuous work, such as steps, or working your arms with weights while walking, this will not be reflected in those numbers. Still, this is a great way to give you an idea of how many calories you’ve burned and how much weight you’ve lost. This information is only available that day, until midnight. After midnight, these numbers are reset, and you can’t access them. If you want to keep track of those numbers, you’ll have to write them down, before midnight.
Another handy feature of the Ozeri Digital Pedometer is the MEMO button. If you press this button, you will be able to view the number of steps taken for each of the last 30 days. A very nice feature to help you track your progress. Or even to take into your health care professional to show them your progress.
I am not a runner, but if you are, you will love that you can keep track of your running, too. You can keep track of both steps and running time by simply pressing the JOG button before you start running.
Overall, this is a great digital pedometer. I have loved using it. I plan to continue using it to help me achieve my fitness goals.
