Last Friday night, we were finally able to have a cook out again. This has been one busy, and crazy summer, that left us no time to sit around the fire. So relaxing!
In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu
It’s taking me a little longer to get back into the swing of things than I thought it would.
We did cook every night, no take out (or frozen!) pizza. So that’s a step in the right direction. We had started using more store bought snacks, and a few convenience foods, over the course of our very busy summer. I consider store bought bread a convenience food. It’s time to put an end to that! After we went shopping on Saturday, my husband came out of the store with sort of a deer in the headlights look on his face. Like, “What am I going to eat?” lol I assured him that he wouldn’t starve. lol The teens have been walking around the last few days, saying, “What can I eat?”
Last night, Abby baked some cookies from frozen dough that we had bought from a friend. They weren’t the greatest. But the kids got a snack, and we supported a friends fundraising efforts. And I didn’t have to make a snack last night. lol
So this week will be spent making and baking so my family doesn’t over rule me, and run to the store for snack foods. lol
