The Aeneid Homeschool Curriculum Giveaway

Last August I reviewed Roman Roads Media Old Western Culture The Greeks.

My 16 year old daughter has since finished the course. I liked it because it is a challenging, well written curriculum. My daughter liked it because she earned 2 credits for completing it. A social studies credit, as well as a literature credit.

I recently received a set of Roman Roads Old Western Culture The Romans The Aeneid, 4 dvds and a workbook, to check out.

The Aeneid is unit one of four units that make up The Romans, which is year two of the Old Western Culture curriculum. The Romans is also a double credit course. The Aeneid, as well as the other units, can be used individually as a one quarter elective. The classics covered in The Aeneid included the Aeneid of Vergil, Ovid, Lucretius, Lucan, and Statius.

The Aeneid is the same great quality as The Romans course that my daughter did. The Aeneid dvd set includes 12 lectures. The 56 page workbook includes a nine week schedule, and an answer key. Because of the mature themes in some of the readings, the recommended age for The Aeneid is 14 and above. I like that Roman Roads lets the parent know about this content, so the parent can make the decision whether their student if ready for this material or not.
