Friday
I had to take Melissa to the dr. She hasn’t been feeling well. The PA thought it was either anemia or mono. Her lab work showed a hemoglobin of 12.7, not low enough to warrant the symptoms she’s having. The mono spot test came back negative. But they said you can have a negative and still have mono. So they do a Epstein Barr test that will show if she has mono titers. That test takes 3 days to come back, so we won’t know for sure until Monday.
Saturday
I got to go shopping at Walmart. Yeah, NOT!! But I did buy the new Joe Diffie cd. It has a really good song on it, Tougher Than Nails. D has been waiting for this cd to come out, so was happy when I brought it home. Brownie points, without the carbs! hehehehehe
In the afternoon we made 217 meatballs. Nope, that’s not a type. lol D and Mel helped. I scooped the meat, while they rolled them. It made it go a LOT faster! Today, Sunday, is Melissa’s piano recital, and we’re having the family back for snacks after.
In the evening, we took the kids fishing at Squirrels Pay Lake. Squirrel is the guys name. Well, it’s his nickname. But that’s what everyone calls him. He’s a friend of the family, and even though he’s been open for a couple of years, this is the first time we’ve been there. Mel caught a couple of little sunfish, so did Abigail, Hannah caught one little sun fish, and a catfish. D’s brother D went with us, and he caught a catfish. We stayed there until 10. We had to have the fish weighed before we left, and the 2 catfish together weighed 4 pounds. Not a lot, but probably enough for one meal. D said he could stay all night, I told him we’d be back in the morning to pick him up. lol He didn’t stay, though. He’s going to take Kenn back another time and stay all night. Fine with me, as long as I don’t have to stay! lol
Today is Melissa’s piano recital. Her 5th. She’s been taking piano for 2 1/2 years. Today she’s playing “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie “Titanic”. Maybe I’ll learn how to video on our site. Then later this afternoon, she’s going home with D’s brother D to stay with his family for a week. bummer. She’ll have a good time, though, I’m sure. Time for me to get off, and do the final touches to the house, and get everyone ready.
