?????

October 24, 2005 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

All morning, I haven’t heard anything except – “I’m cold” “I’m freezing” “It’s cold” “It’s freezing” and every concievable variation of those complaints!

So good, kind, loving, dutiful mother that I am. I turn the heat on.

“I smell something!!” “What’s that smell?”

Good, kind, loving, dutiful mother says:

“You’ve been complaining ALL morning, “I’m cold” “I’m freezing” “It’s cold” “It’s freezing”. So I turned the heat on. Do you want the heat on or not???

Kids – “Yes”, “Yes”, “Yes”, “Yes”, “Yes”

Not so good, not so kind, not so loving, Mother says – “Then shut up!”

aaaaahhhhhhhhh No more complaining……For about 2 SECONDS…..until they found something ELSE to complain about!!

Aw, c’mon now, Linda. Don’t tell me YOU never said one single word about being cold?!?!?

Surprisingly, it was not my kid who was complaining about the cold (it usually is!) but it was me.

Well, actually, I didn’t SAY anything about being cold…I did post one teensy tiny entry about it, though.

    LOL! :Þ

I didn’t complain out loud!! Because I was trying NOT to turn the heat on until I absolutely had to!

HA HA Oh–that sounded just like our house!!! ha ha I did tell them, in dad’s hearing, that if DAD had taken out the air conditioners already, that that “might” help with the cold problem. Like you, I just don’t want to turn the heat on!

Ha! Well, we’re still shivering at our house. It’s been in the 30’s & 40’s for the past…what? …four days? And I still haven’t turned the heat on.

(sure as I do, it’ll warm up too much for it, though. I COULD just break this cold snap if I’d just turn the blasted thing on, I guess…huh?)

It’s about 61 in here right now, but feels like about FIFTY!!! *brrr!*

Me, who is sitting here with her sweatjacket on!!

    Hi Jennifer!
    Long time, no see!!
How’s everything up in your neck of the woods? Are the beautiful fall colors still there, or are they gone?
    How are all the kids?
Hope all is well with your family!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
