So, we’re working on the Christmas cards. We are making our own again this year. The front is very pretty, with tags (think scrapbooking) hanging on the front spelling J O Y. So, we were looking in the Bible for verses about Joy.
We found this one:
Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
“Nice Mom, you want to put “eat the fat” on our Christmas cards.”
“Well, isn’t that what everyone does on Christmas?”
“You might as well just write Pork Fat Rules!”
Couldn’t you just imagine everyone opening a Christmas card from us and reading the above verse on the left side and Pork Fat Rules on the right?
ROFLOL

Acts 10:9-15
(KJV)
9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
amen! 🙂
