got a new bumper……
um….NOT….but the commercial is funny!
Let’s see…..today I am…44…oh yeah….the big 4..4…
My mother just asked me on the phone if I feel older today. Which always strikes me as a dumb question. IF I feel any older than yesterday, it would only be one day, not a WHOLE year. but whatever…..
Anyway….I’m not like a good portion of the women out there that are upset by growing older. Growing older is a gift! Every year that the number goes up, is another year that God has left me here on this earth with my family to do his will. How could I be upset about that?
Oh, and those gray hairs??
I have earned every..single..one..of..them.. Gray hair used to be seen as a sign of maturity and wisdom…now it’s seen as something bad..to cover up..well NOT me! I’m proud of all those gray hairs! They stand for all the hard times that I’ve been through and have come out on the other side of! Thank God for gray hair!
(of course, no offense intended to those that color their hair. ..personal opinions…and all that.. :)…)
what are we trying to say, linda? hmmm? *pththt*
when i was like 27 and sitting around w/a group of other hmsch-ing moms who were talking about gray hair in much the same way you do i piped up w/the fact that i colored mine.
“WELL WHY?!” they wanted to know! why wasn’t i proud of them, i’d worked hard to earn them, etc., etc.
i said, “well, i am just 27 years old.” about 10 mouths just dropped open.
lovely. they must have all thought i was 40-something. gah.
that was during the time when i was having most of the worst medical problems, so i did look pretty awful, but STILL!
*heh*
i dunno. i guess it’s in the nurture, too. all my female relatives color, or at least used to. and it helps put a little body in the hair, too.
that’s my story and i’m stickin’ to it! lol!
you don’t have enough gray hair to be carryin’ on so much about ’em anyhow! sheesh! that’s why you’re so carefree and flippant about it. rofl!
sounds like you had/are having! a very wonderful b-day so far. hope it continues to be great til you just cain’t stand it no more! lol!
(do you really want a bumper? did you wreck the van again? *pththt*)
eat cake, lounge around, eat more cake, boss people while lounging and eating cake… and just generally enjoy thyself. 😀
~hugs~
well, G~, I actually do have quite a few gray hairs. And I did say no offense intended to those that color their hair! My mother always did, and my mother in law does. so 😛
um…no…I didn’t want a bumper, and no I didn’t wreck the van! I’ve never wrecked the van! Thank you very much!! That commercial is funny. so…um…yeah….i was quoting a commercial…..
Yeah, the cake is sitting on the table calling my name!!
I did buy myself some birthday chips when I took my mother to the store. lol so I ate SOME of those. And I have a special supper planned. Let’s just see if everyone else agrees, and thinks it’s special!!
bah. of course they thought it was special.
mine think it’s special ANY time i fix supper.
roflol!
lol
