I put the flannel sheets back on my bed this week. I just love them, they are so warm! I bought these sheets when we had our king size bed. When we downsized to a queen, I didn’t want to have to buy new ones. So I made new corners on the fitted sheet, that took some trial and error to get the corners to fit right. I didn’t cut down the top sheet, but kept it as a king size.
Here’s the Works For Me Wednesday part. I just love the king sized sheet on my queen sized bed! I can roll over, and still have my back covered! And I don’t have to worry about hubby hogging all the covers, and waking up cold. Because I also still use the king sized comforter, there’s plenty of covers to share. 🙂
The only slight problem, if you can call it that, is the king size sheet hangs out from under the comforter. So when I make the bed, I just tuck it in along the sides. So it’s not really a problem.
Using a king size sheet on my queen size bed Works for Me!
The picture above is my bed. I made the curtains and valance out of twin sized sheets, bought when they went on clearance, that match the comforter. Oh, I embroidered and made the pillow in the center, and made the afghan to match. 🙂

A great idea! I sleep with a sheet-hogger, too. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Does hubby make comments under his breath about the “flowery” design of the room? Mine does! lmbo! But, I very loudly and clearly let him know that it is payback for making me sleep in a “garage” all those years ago. Remember my post about Snap-on tool boxes as my nightstands and intakes and other car parts stuffed under the bed? lmbo!!!
We have 2 sets of flannel sheets for our bed. I love them so much I use them all year round.
We downsized from a king to queen, too. After paying what I did for the king set, there was NO way I was gonna toss it. My problem is the comforter. It hangs off to the floor and sometimes I trip over it. Grrr… I am also anal about it covering up my dustruffle. Its my first one. lmbo!! But not enough to get rid of it. Go figure.
