But Little Cub wasn’t quite ready to go to sleep.
“Mama, where did I come from?” she asked.
“From God,” her mother answered. “Your papa and I were alone, and we wanted
a baby.”
“And you got me?” Little Cub asked, her voice muffled by the covers.
“Yes, my special child. God gave us you.”
MY REVIEW:
I loved this little board book. Such a sweet story. From Mama Bear telling Little Cub that she prayed for him before he was born, for his health and that he would love God to God gave us you said numerous times throughout the book. A great book to read to little ones and then have a conversation with them based on the book. My little ones aren’t so little anymore, but if we had had this book when they were little, it would have been a family favorite. I could see this book read in the morning, before or after nap time, and before bed. My kids would also have liked to read it all day. Just because they loved it. You know how kids are with their favorite books. Having you read it over and over again. God Gave Us You will be a favorite with your kids. And you, I think. It’s a very sweet story, with beautiful drawings.
