Baby Boy Afghan and Sweater Set

I posted pictures a couple of months ago of a baby boy sweater and hat that I had crocheted. I recently finished an afghan and booties to go with the sweater.

The afghan is simple 3 row granny square with a single crochet edging. I single crocheted all the squares together and then did a row of single crochet around the whole thing.

The finished measurement is 22 1/2″ by 17″. Not large, but big enough to cover baby in the car seat or cover babies legs on someones lap.

Once I had the afghan and booties done, I decided to go back and change the trim on the sweater and hat. I changed the trim on the hat to green and changed the buttons on the sweater to green.

Then I made the little booties in blue and green.

I love these little booties. So much cuter in person than in a picture.

So now I have a completed baby boy set for my Grandmother’s Hope Chest.

Here are the patterns I used for the baby sweater, baby hat and baby booties.
