Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 28, 2012 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I can’t believe it’s been 3 weeks since I’ve posted a homeschool uupdate!

We’re still plugging along with our schoolwork. Abigail and Zachary both finished their math books and started new ones. They were happy to finish, but not so happy to start new ones. lol

Abigail is now working in the Rod & Staff Understanding Math 6, while Zachary is working in the 5th Rod & Staff math book.

I also had to re-install our Switched-on Schoolhouse Kentucky State History. The cd got scratched, and wouldn’t work anymore, so I had to buy a new one.  I wasn’t very happy.   But my older two had used it, so it wasn’t wasted, I was just hoping to be able to use it with all 6 kids. The new version had an option to install so as not to need the cd every time. That’s the one I chose.  🙂

Calen has started learning to play the guitar. He’s been practicing a LOT, so his fingers are really sore. He does find some weird positions to practice in, though! lol

The girls have been doing great with volleyball. For being a 1st year team, with none of the girls ever playing on a volleyball team before, and some never having played volleyball at all, they’ve done GREAT! They won a couple of games, and some of the sets in the games they lost. They have a game on Tuesday, and possibly one later in the week, then the season is over.  The girls are disappointed the season is over!

They’ve been practicing on the front porch. Since they’re used to playing in the gym, they don’t like to practice on the grass. No broken windows yet!

Speaking of volleyball, Abby has been drawing lots of volleyballs in the last week or so. I found these pictures she had taken on the memory card.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
