Our Homeschool Week in Review

April 26, 2013 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Sickness has struck our house. Again. It’s just a cold, but it’s a bad cold. sigh. I was so hoping that spring would bring an end to the colds. The 12 old has been sick all week, and my husband and I have had it for a couple of days now. It’s not fun.

Anyway, on to the homeschool stuff. Zach didn’t get any work done because he felt so bad.  The other three are working right along. Hannah and Abby were the most diligent this week. Calen is dragging his feet. I’m not sure why, because as soon as he finishes the subjects he’s working on, he graduates. I have to work with him this week to come up with a plan for finishing and graduation.

On Tuesday, Calen and Abby went with some of the youth from church to the Ronald McDonald house in our state to cook supper for the families. Here’s a group shot, minus the one taking the picture, and the girl that didn’t want her picture taken. My two are the ones without their faces blurred. lol Wait, except for the red head, he’s not mine!

Here’s Calen and one of the adults from church cooking. They made spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and brownies.

This is the third time that our youth group has gone, but the first time any of my kids went. It was a very good experience for them. Here’s Abby and one of the girls from church.

Our church also had revival services this week. So that kept us busy in the evenings, for those that were well enough to go.

Hopefully, no one else comes down with this cold so we can get back to work on Monday. It looks like it’s going to be a fairly quiet week so we should be able to get lots of schoolwork done.

That’s our homeschool week in review!

That looks like a fun service activity.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
