In Glittering Promises, Cora Kensington is still traveling Europe on the Grand Tour with her siblings and family friends. After a dangerous incident, Cora’s birth father also joins the tour to provide extra protection for his family.
The family is being followed by photographers, letting the world know their whereabouts, making it even harder to keep everyone safe. Will, their tour guide, takes his job very seriously, especially protecting Cora. You see, Will and Cora have fallen in love. Cora’s birth father wants her to marry some closer to his class, as well as someone who will benefit the family business.
Just when Cora thinks she might be getting closer to her birth father, he dies. While the family is waiting for their ship to depart for home, they see a few more places. While out, Cora is again kidnapped. Through everything that ensues, Cora learns to lean on and completely trust her heavenly father that will never leave her.
If you’ve read books 1 & 2, you won’t want to miss Glittering Promises. If you haven’t read the first two books yet, you really must go back and read them before reading book 3. There is so much back information contained in the first two books that you really won’t be able to enjoy book 3 without having read them first.
Glittering Promises is a great read. There are many exciting moments, as well as tender family moments, and the growing faith of a young women learning to trust God with everything in her life.
