Our Homeschool Week in Review

January 25, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

It’s been so cold here! Even though the temp inside is staying steady, the temp outside keeps dropping. And that makes us all want to wrap up in blankets and just sit around. Either on the computer or watching movies.

Abby & Zach sure don’t want to get out of bed in the mornings, either. lol Can’t say as I blame them. We do need to get some schoolwork done, though. Instead of them getting most of their work done in the morning, they are now doing most of it in the afternoon.  Even though it’s not my preferred schedule, they are getting work done. That’s all that really matters.

Zach has braved the cold to go to the mailbox a couple of times. He even went sledding for a little bit the other day. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t talk any of the other kids into going with him. I even tried to PAY one of them to go sledding with him. He walked out to the hill, looked around, and walked back in. lol Did I mention that it was about 10* when he went out? lol So poor Zach had to play in the snow by himself. Sometimes, being the youngest can feel like your an only child.  🙁

There is, indeed, a boy inside all that. lol

Abby has had a few volleyball practices and games. We have had to miss a couple of practices because of the ice on our road, though. They played two games last Saturday. They won one, and lost won. We still have over a month left to play, including a couple of tournaments. Then we will see if any of our girls make the all star team! This is my husband, Hannah, and myself watching one of Abby’s games last Saturday.

I sure will be glad to get a working camera, instead of taking pictures with my Kindle. lol

Zach started a new subject this week. Spanish, using Mango Languages. We’re using it for a Schoolhouse Review Crew review. So far, he’s liking it. Keep an eye out for our review in a few weeks.

The Olympics are coming! I love doing a unit study during the Olympics. I’m working on what we are going to do this year. Post coming soon. If you have anything awesome that you will be using for your Olympics study, let me know! I always have room for something awesome.  🙂

And that’s our homeschool week in review!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
