Our Homeschool Week in Review

February 14, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We’ve had a busy week! We did manage to get a couple of full days of school in, though.

On Monday, Abby had a volleyball game 2 hours away from home. She rode with her coach and his daughter, so I only had to drop her off at his house about 5 minutes away. Unfortunately, they lost the game.

Tuesday, we did a full day of school. And Calen got his drivers permit! He drove me a couple of times this week. And I’m still alive! lol

Wednesday, we went to the movies with the homeschool group in the morning. Can you tell that Abby & Zach didn’t want their picture taken in front of the movie theater. For the whole world to see. lol Teenagers! lol We saw The Lego Movie. It was really good! We really like going to the movies with the group. And it’s a great deal! $3. a person, and that includes a small drink and small popcorn!

Hannah drove us to the movies and back. We went through a drive through for lunch on the way home. It was Hannah’s first time driving through a drive through. She didn’t want to do the ordering. lol So she pulled up far enough for Calen to order from the back seat! lol

Wednesday night is also church night.

Thursday, another full day of school. Abby had volleyball practice about an hour away from home that evening. Her coach usually drives her to Thursday night practice, too. (Monday night practices are closer to home, and I drive her to those)

Today, Abby had a volleyball game in the afternoon. It was only about 30 minutes from home, so I invited my mother to come. She hadn’t been to any games this year, as most are farther away. She had a great time cheering for Abby. Unfortunately, they lost. 21-25 and 15-25. They played a really great game, though. After the game, we went to the local frozen yogurt shop. My mother, myself, and two of my daughters, Abby & Hannah. We had a lot of fun together!

I think I need to take lessons from my kids on how to take selfie pictures. I took about 10 pictures, and this was the best one. lol

We had a busy week, with lots of fun stuff. Next week, lots more book work! lol

And that’s our homeschool week in review!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
