Real Women Leading with Proverbs 31 Values Review

I have always loved reading Proverbs 31. Oh to be as together as her, to get as much done in a day as her. Lots of days, I don’t feel anything like her! And I’m sure I’m not alone in this. The Proverbs 31 woman sure sets the bar high for the rest of us.

That’s why I was looking forward to reading (and reviewing!) Real Women Leading with Proverbs 31 Values. Now, before you say I’m not a leader, I don’t need this book, hear me out. Whether your a boss at work, manage a home, or a ministry, you are a leader. Sunday school teacher, nursery worker, coordinate volunteers, you’re a leader!

Real Women: Leading with Proverbs 31 Values is a leadership resource for Christian woman. Real Women cultivates biblical truth, relationship development, and practical application into everyday life through ten foundational principles. Once women embrace these ten principles, they will soon discover the multiple attributes of the Proverbs 31woman in today’s marketplace and learn practical ways to implement the wisdom from that timeless Scripture passage.

This book doesn’t just talk the talk. It helps you walk the walk. There are 10 chapters, each on a different value possessed by the Proverbs 31 Woman. Each chapter is followed by several sections to help you get the most out of each chapter. The sections are, The IT Factor, Understanding the value, Characteristics of the value, Steps to follow to help you attain your goals with each value, as well as questions.

Here are a couple of quotes that really stuck with me.

“Whether we’re in the kitchen, church choir loft, or the boardroom – God calls us to be honest with ourselves about what He’s placed within us” p. 131

You will be encouraged to develop your God-given gifts and talents in the marketplace as you live out the principles of the Proverbs 31 woman. Knowing that we are not the end users of the gospel message, the Proverbs 31 leader will find the initiative to inspire the upcoming generation to view womanhood as a gift and continue the learning process that will impact generations to come.
