Our Homeschool Week in Review

June 13, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We’ve had a very busy week this week. In addition to schoolwork, and life in general, we lost phone and internet on Tuesday morning. They finally came back on Tuesday night. Just in time for the electric to go out from storm damage.

Thankfully, the electric cam back on Wednesday night. Somehow, we managed to keep moving through our busy week. We all suffered from electronic withdrawal. There was much yelling, screaming, and cheering when the electronic came back on! lol

Zach managed to occupy his free time nicely even though he really missed his computer games.

He enjoyed listening to the radio, too. It was nice to listen to the radio, something we don’t normally do in the house. This emergency radio runs by human power, so all that hand cranking counts as exercise. lol Notice that he has a squirt gun in each hand. lol I guess that is to make sure no one takes the radio. lol

Monday thru Thursday, Zach attended an archery day camp. He had fun, and learned a lot. They set up the targets in the gym with a curtain backdrop to “catch” the arrows.

The campers also got to swim in the pool every afternoon. Which he loved! He even tried jumping off the diving board for the first time. Feet first!

He does not normally look this goofy. There is just something about seeing the camera that makes him have the goofiest faces. lol

Abby occupied herself with the battery operated keyboard while the electric was out. I still don’t understand why she had to use the battery operated keyboard, instead of playing the piano. lol I don’t  have to buy batteries for the piano!  Piper, the morkie, was very interested in all the different sounds coming from the keyboard. Abby started Homeschool Piano course this week. Even though she has had piano lessons in the past, I really think she will learn a lot from this course. Look for my review in about 6 weeks!

Hannah had an orthodontist appointment this week. The worst part was no empty chairs in the waiting room. Well, for me anyway! lol

Friday night, we had another cookout in our firepit. Max the dog was very interested in Abby’s s’more making. lol He likes to eat marshmallows. Ok, he likes to eat everything. lol

And that’s our homeschool week in review!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
