In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

July 28, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I didn’t make a menu last week. My father in law is, unfortunately, in the hospital. My two youngest went to church camp. I had a tooth pulled on Monday, so have been eating soft foods most of the week. My daughter, not the one at camp, had her braces adjusted, so was on soft foods all week. Dinner for 1 or two just didn’t seem worth it the effort it took to plan a menu. lol

The two camp kids came home Friday afternoon. One was sick when she got here, and got sicker that night. The other one got sick Saturday. So they haven’t been eating very much. All of us not eating regularly is sure saving on my groceries. lol The Cheeseburger Macaroni that I made Saturday night should have been enough for one meal, instead, we got two out of it. I would much rather have everyone healthy, though!

I pulled some of my homemade turkey broth out of the freezer and used thin spaghetti to make the sick kids some noodles. They really like ramen noodles, but those aren’t very healthy. Homemade is better.

Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?

In the Kitchen with Linda – Dinner Menu:

Saturday – Sabbath- Make ahead meals- Cheeseburger Macaroni, beets

Sunday – soup & sandwich day – leftovers, egg sandwiches

Monday – chicken –  Baked Zesty Lemon Chicken, baked potatoes, cucumbers

Tuesday – pizza/pasta – Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad

Wednesday – beef – Tacos with all the fixings

Thursday – chicken – Chickens, potatoes, onions, and carrots in the slow cooker

Friday – beef – Cookout – Hamburgers with all the fixings, potato salad

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
