In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

August 18, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Trying out my new and easier meal plan went well last week. To see why I’m simplifying my meal plan, read my post The Sandwich Generation. See my new meal plan, and this weeks menu, below.

In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

Breakfasts will be homemade muffins, toast, cottage cheese, fruit

Lunches will be sandwiches (tuna, chicken, or grilled cheese), fruit, pickles, vegetables, or the very occasional chips

Dinners will be:

Monday- baked chicken, baked potato, vegetable

Tuesday- spaghetti with meat sauce, vegetable OR take out pizza once or twice a month, possibly homemade pizza is my daughter makes it

Wedensday- tacos on store bought tortillas, vegetables

Thursday- Chicken, potatoes, carrots in slowcooker

Friday-Hamburgers OR sloppy joes , vegetable – most likely these will be on homemade buns

Weekends will be more flexible, or leftovers. Fish, breakfast for supper, and a couple of family favorites that don’t fit into the assigned days, or that take longer to prepare. When fall and winter hits, soups and stews will take the place of some of these options.

My daughter made Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy last week. It’s a favorite with all the kids. Ok, I like it, too! We don’t eat it regularly, so I don’t worry too much about it being chocolate. 🙂

Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?

In the Kitchen with Linda – Dinner Menu:

Sunday – soup & sandwich day – Keilbasa, onions, and peppers

Monday – chicken –  Baked Zesty Lemon Chicken, baked potatoes, yellow squash from our garden

Wednesday – beef – Tacos with all the fixings

Thursday – chicken – Chickens, potatoes, onions, and carrots in the slow cooker

Friday – beef – Cheeseburgers on homemade buns, carrots – cooked and raw

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
