VeggieTales Beauty and the Beet DVD Review & Giveaway

October 20, 2014 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

I recently received the brand new VeggieTales musical Beauty and the Beet (affiliate link) to review.

This brand-new VeggieTales musical just released and stars Kellie Pickler (American Idol, Dancing With the Stars), who brings her unmistakable voice to the role of Mirabelle, a sweet-potato singer whose family band is on the brink of superstardom. They are scheduled to sing at Vegetable Square Garden!

VeggieTales Beauty and the Beet DVD Review & Giveaway

Beauty and the Beet blends the irresistible (at least my teenager & I think so!) charm of VeggieTales with a heartfelt message about unconditional love.

The DVD also includes Mac and Cheese – the song, and a giddy new “Silly Songs With Larry” segment in which Larry the Cucumber reveals the surprising, and never before told, history of his family’s unexpected contributions to Italian cuisine. I loved this scene. Of course, I’m partial to Italian food. lol I also really liked the concert scene.

The graphics in Beauty and the Beet are great, and the new veggies are cute. I watched Beauty and the Beet with my 14 year old son. He was excited when I first showed him the DVD.  We had fun watching it together. Beauty and the Beet is great for the whole family to watch together. I don’t think we will ever be to old to enjoy watching the VeggieTales!

Every VeggieTale’s movie has a lesson for everyone. Beauty and the Beet teaches unconditional love. The Veggies learn how to love Mr. Beet, even though he is a beast most of the time.

Watch Beauty and the Beet now, and watch later this fall when the gang will also star in a brand-new Netflix original series,VeggieTales In the House, which premieres Thanksgiving weekend. A VeggieTales series is a great idea!
