In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

June 15, 2015 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

One of my teenagers practically had a melt down when I served this for lunch!

In the Kitchen with Linda & Dinner Menu

That lunch consisted of Amish bread we had just purchased that morning at an Amish bake sale, 3 kinds Amish cheese, and cherries. We had swiss, colby, and pepper jack cheeses.

A perfectly fine lunch, right? One of my teenagers was late coming to the table, and when she got there she didn’t like what she saw. She kept asking where’s the meat? Is this it? Legit? lol She finally calmed down enough to eat. Teenagers are so funny. lol

My husband got the shelves hung in my new pantry, but then I had to wait almost a week before I could fill them. We bought “green” wood from a local saw mill. The wood hadn’t been dried out. So we had to let it dry before we could use them.

I am still filling it up, and trying to organize it. It’s hard to get set up for the first time. Especially with emptying one cabinet at a time onto the shelves. I think this category will fit in one spot, until I empty the next cabinet. Now that most everything is in there, I have to organize it to get the best use of the space. You know, so I can fit more in. lol

Our 20 year old son moved out last week. It will be nice for him to be closer to his work. And I don’t have to worry too much, because he moved into the basement of our older, married daughter’s house. It’s still an adjustment when one of your kids moves out. Even if they are ready for it. One of those adjustments is learning to cook less food. I think my husband will have plenty of leftovers for his lunches until I do adjust. lol

Now…. to answer the question that I get asked about a hundred times a day……….What’s For Dinner?

I think that looks like a great lunch but I don’t think either of my boys would be excited either. Reminds me I have some cherries in the fridge that need attention soon.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
