I recently received this NIV Application Bible. As someone who tries to read her Bible regularly, I appreciate a Bible with added features. Like TWO ribbon book marks. That this one has. Let me tell you about some of the other features this Bible offers.

This NIV Application Bible is a hardcover, with a dust jacket. I do appreciate a hard cover Bible when I am holding it on my lap to read.

The NIV Application Bible Bible contains more than 50 charts throughout. I also love the Book introductions. As well as the Application Notes. These are so helpful when you are studying the Bible. There are Questions for Growth in each chapter to encourage reflection on how to apply Scripture to life.
There are many notes throughout the NIV Application Bible to help you understand the verses, and the original meaning. I find the 45 full-color in-text maps help me follow along with the locations of biblical events. There is also a 16-page full-color map section in the back.

Also included in the back of the NIV Application Bible are a NIV Dictionary-Concordance, an index of the included charts, and three Bible reading plans. The first is a Topical Reading Plan that covers ten different topics over the course of 52 weeks. With this plan, you aren’t reading through the whole Bible, but only what pertains to those topics. The second is a one year reading Pan. The third is a three year reading plan that typically only has one chapter per day to read.
I found the NIV Application Bible to have many, many features that make it a great Bible to use for study. The hard cover, two ribbon bookmarks, the 3 reading plans, and helpful life application notes make it the perfect Bible for daily reading.
Whatever your reasons for getting a new bible are, this one just may have what you are looking for. It makes a great gift, too!
