Tired…..

June 12, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

My iron level is low again. It snuck up on me this time.. So now I’m taking lots of iron pills, and trying to eat more protein.

I am just not a big protein eater. I am completely satisfied with a small serving of meat. Much smaller than the the recommended serving size.

So I’m trying to recover but life doesn’t stop just because I’m tired!

What Do I Hear?

June 8, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

nothing….shocking.. I know!

2 kids are at horse day camp…2 kids are at the grandparents playing with visiting cousins.

I’m attending an extremely informative webinar and cleaning the house at the same time.

I might have to go to our churchs outreach center later to help unload a truckful of food, then pick up the horse campers at 3:30.

Guess I need to figure out something for supper while I’m on a break for the webinar.

hmmm…..what sounds good?

Cuckcoo for Clocks

March 8, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Did you know that tonight we change our clocks?

I do….

I was soooooo effiecent, that I changed them after supper, to make sure I didn’t forget. I wouldn’t want to miss church because I forgot to change the clocks.

I felt good to be on top of things.

Then I was reading online. And guess what?

I turned the clocks back! So I had to change them again!

I know the rhyme “Spring Forward, Fall Back” I teach it to my kids. And I still messed up the clocks!

I should know better!

Hannah Update….

March 5, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Today Hannah went for the scan that the surgeon ordered on Monday.

They did an ultrasound of her leg, from hip to ankle, checking the blood flow. Of course, they can’t tell you anything. You have to wait to see the dr for your results. Since I’m used to ultrasounds of babies, and not arteries, I couldn’t tell you if what I was seeing was normal or not. I could see the blood flowing, it flashes red on the black and white screen, so it wasn’t that difficult. lol

We’ll find out the results when we see the surgeon again on Monday.

Her toes are still swollen, red, painful to walk on, and sometimes look purple. She’s not a very happy camper right now. Which is perfectly understandable.

Poor thing, I hope we find out something soon.

Hannah Update…

March 2, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

Today Hannah had to see the surgeon about her toe. He said it looked good, and to finish the antibiotics that the doc put her on last Thursday.

He checked her pulse in her ankle, and the top of her foot. He said it was very thready. So he is sending her for a scan of the artery in her leg.

Her toe is looking a lot better today, than it was last week.

February in Review

February 28, 2009 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

February was a very busy month, along with being very cold, snowy and icey…

We had:

2 birthdays – mine and Mel’s
1 Valentines day dinner at church
2 – 4 hour volunteer sessions at the outreach center
2 quick visits to drop stuff off at the outreach center
1 clothes give away where we handed out bags, and folded clothes
2 piano lessons (2 others were cancelled)
6 extra Bible Drill practices (if I counted right, I think I missed a couple)
5 Doctor appointments – 2 for Hannah, 2 for Granny, 1 for Calen 2 hours away

That’s a lot, but add in housework, schoolwork, shopping, cooking, church and I’m exhausted!

sigh……..I think I need a nap!

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
