Synopsis: Jake Young (Lawson Touliatos) wants nothing more than to spend his Christmas vacation with his girlfriend, Abbey Walker (Leela Owen). So when Abbey volunteers for her church’s Christmas play, Jake is ready to skip Christmas this year until an unexpected turn of events lands him in a field outside Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born. Saved By Grace Review

Saved By Grace is a sweet show suitable for the whole family. Each episode has it’s own story. The commonalities are the two angels, and the ways they help the people work out their problems.

I loved Saved By Grace! I quickly watched all 5 episodes that I had access to. And I wished there were more! I loved that this is a show you can sit and watch with your family without worrying about what your kids (or you!) might see. I also loved that the Lord was mentioned often, and given credit for all that He does.

All the situations highlight current problems, but at the core, they are heart issues we’ve been dealing with since the fall, and I hope viewers realized they aren’t alone in those struggles. – Jennifer Taylor (Grace)

I liked the relationship between the two angels as they sit and talk before and after each episodes story. The are usually seen eating ice cream at the end. One of them really loves ice cream. lol It’s just a fun ending that make the angels relatable.

I really hope they make more episodes!

Nothing Is Impossible Review & Pure Flix Giveaway

I’m here to tell you about another great family movie! I was recently able to watch Nothing Is Impossible, the latest movie from Pure Flix, online.

Take a center-court seat to a journey of transformation as Scott Beck gets a second chance at life and love. Can he let go of past pains and open himself to God’s purpose? Or will new challenges keep him from the future he always hoped for?

Nothing Is Impossible

Nothing Is Impossible tells the story of Scott, who was a high-school basketball star with dreams of playing in the NBA. Fast forward 20 years and he’s a janitor at the high school where he once played.

Ryan, Scott’s high school girlfriend, is now in charge of her father’s professional basketball team, The Silver Knights. Financial woes leave her no option but to host open tryouts to attract media attention and bring new (and cheap) talent to the team.


Nick, Scott’s best friend, coaches the high school basketball team and has dreams of being a pastor. He tries to mentor his friend who is stuck in the past instead of looking toward the future.

Scott decides to attend the open tryouts for the Silver Knights and runs into Ryan at practice. Scott makes the second round of players in open tryouts and Ryan confronts him about why he’s pursuing this.


Ryan and Scott’s past is revealed and emotions run high and it gets tense. Scott knows the game really well and proves his ability in the second round of tryouts and takes on Coach Banks during practice. He really shows his determination while running sprints. He runs them 3 times to prove to the coach that he can do it in the time allotted. Instead of getting slower with each set, he gets faster!


As Scott and Ryan rekindle their romance, difficulties arise with the publicity they are getting.

Nothing Is Impossible Review

Nothing Is Impossible is a great family movie! It does feature basketball, but it is not a “sports” movie. It’s about how to trust in God’s timing when it seems like none of our desires are being fulfilled in the way we hoped.
It teaches us that times of uncertainty are when we should lean into our faith and trust God has a plan for our lives.

Nothing Is Impossible is suitable for all ages. However, I don’t believe it will hold the interest of younger kids. There are slow parts to the movie, but over all, it’s a great movie!

I won’t give away the ending, but it’s a good one!

If you are a regular here, you know I love good movies that the whole family can watch together. I was recently able to watch Legacy Peak, the latest movie from Pure Flix, online.

In Legacy Peak, Jason wants nothing more than to have Noelle’s kids like him. Together they’ll discover how to trust again and what it means to be a family.

Legacy Peak Movie Review

Legacy Peak is not a comedy. It is a drama full of action, a plane crash, surviving in the woods, being chased by wolves, and how the Father is always watching out for you.

I did laugh at one scene, cried at another one, and could not stop watching until the end.

Here’s a favorite quote from the movie:

“A father stands in the gap, kids on one side, wolves on the other, he says whatever comes, nothing can reach those kids. Doesn’t have to win, but he’s gotta stand there, give his live if that’s what it comes to.”

I love that the whole family can watch Legacy Peak together. And that there are lessons that the whole family can learn. What it means to be a family, and what it means to trust God in the hard situations in life.

Synopsis:


Janie is a power player in the boardroom but is falling apart at the thought of becoming a mom. A silent prayer for help is answered in very unlikely ways when an Angel intervenes and fast forwards her life. Can Janie learn to trust God and find purpose and meaning in her new role?

An Unlikely Angel features the following cast:

Jillian Murray as Janie, Robert Amaya as Gabe, Aaron Mees as David, Sam J. Jones as Buck, Brittany Goodwin as Kelly, and Delyla de Castro as Samantha.

Janie is so wrapped up in her work that she leaves her husband and new baby girl as they were leaving the hospital to go to work. Just 12 hours after after giving birth. An angel, Gabe, was waiting there to drive her to work. Although, Janie didn’t know it was an angel.

Angel Gabe does something to help Janie. But at the time, you couldn’t tell it. While watching the movie, I said to myself , “Why in the world did the angel just do that???”.

I won’t giveaway the rest of the story line, but what the angel did was something that ended up really helping Janie, who was trying to do it all, know that she wasn’t alone on her motherhood & family journey.

An Unlikely Angel is not anti-working mother, it’s pro-priorities. Prioritizing what’s important in life. Faith and family.

I really liked An Unlikely Angel. It’s a good, clean movie you can watch with the whole family. It helps us all realize that we need to get back to the basics in an overcomplicated world.

The Case for Heaven Review

The Case for Heaven starts out by talking about what is is to be a human. How our brain, emotions, and free will work. Then segues into whether our consciousness is still aware when we are in a coma & clinical death, and then into near death experiences. He shares several stories of people describing their near death experiences.

He studied over 1,000 near death experiences while working on The Case for Heaven. He found that the descriptions of these experiences all had many things in common. Several people are featured sharing their experiences. Including some that talk about their near death experiences in hell.

Nobody knows what happens in those minutes before someone dies. How we live our lives, and what we do or say in those minutes before we die determines what happens after we die.

He does share his opinion of what hell will be like. How he doesn’t think it will be one size fits all, that everyone’s experience in hell will be fair, a fair comparison to how they lived their life. An interesting point of view that I haven’t heard before.

The Case for Heaven is a documentary. So there are a few slow moving parts. Overall, though, I think the Case for Heaven is very well down. And does indeed make a case for heaven.
