Cell Phone vs. Bible
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible
like we treat our cell phones?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without
it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
Is this something that makes you wonder…hmmm…where
is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don’t ever have to worry
about our bible being disconnected
because Jesus already paid the bill!
Sometimes……
your cluelessness just amazes me…..
Tackle It Tuesday!

Yeah, ok, it’s Wednesday. I couldn’t get on the computer yesterday after I finished my tackle, because of others being on, and hogging the ‘puter! So anyway, I’m here now. 🙂
I’ve been wanting to try and make bagels, so I Tackled that Tuesday. (Oh, and I updated last weeks Tackle it Tuesday with a pic of my new apron.)
Boiling the bagels…It’s hard to get a picture of something boiling, you can’t see through the steam!
The finished bagels, not perfectly shaped, but not bad for the first try…
The kids crowding around drooling over the fresh baked bagels….
Yes, this picture was staged. If it had been a sweet treat, they would have done it on their own, but being bagels, it had to be staged.
We tried one last night, and it was good! Honey Wheat….yum…..
“Who knew I could make a bagel taste like a bagel?! I’m cool…”
Tackle It Tuesday

Today, I will make my apron! I bought the fabric a couple of weeks ago, but just haven’t found the time to get it done. Since D has to go to a class tonight, I don’t have to worry about having supper ready on time. I might even have the girls cook tonight!
I’ve got the fabric washed and ironed. So I need to go get the pattern cut out. Check back later!
*UPDATE* I didn’t finished the apron until Wednesday. When I got the pattern out, I decided to make this one, instead of the bakers style I was going to make. So it took longer, and the clear as mud directions didn’t help! Here it is!…..

My Birth Verse
Ephesians 2:6 NIV
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
And this one is D’s:
Isaiah 12:4 NIV
In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.
What’s Yours?
