Stuff On My Cat

Started on Friday, with a visit to the oral surgeon for Mel. Yep, she has to have 2 wisdom teeth out. She only has two. Which has subjected her to much teasing. After Mel, I, and the 4 little kids, were called back, a woman sat next to my mother. Not knowing she was with us, the woman said “Did you see that herd that went in a minute ago? Now that’s a family check up!” ROFLOL We’ve NEVER been called a HERD before! LOL The nurse, or whatever she was, did not know what to do when we all answered the call for Melissa. ROFLOL I didn’t ask if we all could come back, I just walked everyone back there. “Well, I guess we can fit everyone in that little room, I don’t know” She didn’t quite know what to do, when we all stood quietly in the hall while Melissa had an xray. She just kept coming around the corner and looking. LOL You should have seen all the other nurses looking, as we all walked down the long, narrow hallway. Priceless. We all fit in the room just fine. We were reading Little House on the prairie, and the nurse kept coming in and out for something or other. When we left, she was in the hallway, and said “The next time you come, I’m going to have to come in and listen to the story, too!” Guess we converted her! No one asked this trip why the kids weren’t in school. A first. That, along with being called a herd!

We then went and had a picnic at the park. D joined us. And Granny was with us also. We also walked part of a trail, and the kids collected acorns. We tried to go to the movies, but the one we wanted to see wasn’t there anymore. Bummer.
Saturday and Sunday consisted of lots of farm chores. 🙂 We also had a goat die on Saturday. 🙁 Check Crooked Creek Farm for more details.

I also did a little (repeat little) housework. I spent most of my inside time working on a special project. Can’t tell you what it is just yet. But I’ll share pica in a few days. 🙂 Don’t want to say anything in case the recipients come here. I don’t think they will, but just in case, I want it to be a surprise.

Today was schoolwork, housework, animals. I ran out of supplies for my special project, so I knitted some on a scarf. Don’t know who I’m going to give that to yet. I’ll probably put it in the Christmas gift box, recipient to be named later. 🙂

Tomorrow, Tuesday, is piano lesson day. And I have to run to the store to get more supplies for the aforementioned special project. 🙂

Right now, I have to get off here and finish supper. The chickens in the oven, we have LOTS of green beans (from out garden) left from yesterday. All I really have to do is cooked some sweet potatoes. Or maybe there yams. I’m not sure. (What IS the difference, anyway??)The kids wanted to try them. 🙂
hmmm…………guess I can stay on here for a few more minutes. hehehehehe

I thought Customer Service meant just that! Customer Service! Not someone in another country, whom I can’t understand, and who can’t understand me! I finally said NEVERMIND and hung up!!!

And I thought Customer Sevice was about HELPING the customer!

ok, looks like Calen doesn’t have to have surgery. Surgeon said no. PTL!!!
Trip went fine. D took off work, and Kenn went also, as he left works sick.
We got our stuff entered in the fair. Judging is today. We’ll go in the morning and see the results! Since we entered our stuff early, we were the first ones! We have NO idea what anyone elses entries look like!
Katrina missed us. We had one shower this morning. Right now it’s pretty windy out, but the radar isn’t showing any rain as of now. but we’re still under all kinds of watches until later tonight.
We’ve been watching the news some. The kids can only handle a little at a time, before they get to anxious. Well, some of them anyway. It’s just so awful! Lots of prayers for those in the path!
Well, D’s home early, no parts to fix the cars with.GRRRRRR!!!!! So Now I have to look busy!!! But I’m tired and don’t wanna!!!!!!!

This morning, we have to go turn in our stuff for the county fair. (I’ve been busy with fair stuff, so no update) They’re actually letting us turn it in early. The set time is 1-6p.m. today. But Calen has an appt with the surgeon at 2:40, 2 hours away. So there’s no way we can make that time.

Yep, looks like Calen has to have surgery. It’s supposed to be an in and out (the same day) surgery.

I’ll update more later, when I get the chance. Now that the fair stuff is done, hopefully, I’ll have more time. 🙂
