They had violinists playing, lots of food, and punch. The artists had name tags. It was a lot of fun. And so many great pictures!! Posted by Hello

Update (how’s that for a boring title??)

May 2, 2005 by Linda @ Linda's Lunacy

We’ve been doing a lot of work outside, the past week. So no time for an update.

We got the barn mucked out. What a job that was!! But it’s done, and the contents in the compost pile. I just might have to start selling my compost. Because I think I’m going to have a LOT. Then again, maybe I’ll use it all on my various gardens.

I got a lot of work done on the Bible garden. No new plantings, YET, they’re still waiting in the box. The ground had risen up around the rocks containing the garden. So I had to dig it all out to make the bottom of the rocks level with the ground again. That was tough, but I finally finished it yesterday. Some of the dirt I used to fill in various places in the yard that needed it, and the rest went in the compost pile.

We also got the house pressure washed. WOW We didn’t do it last year, and boy did it show! The shady parts of the house were REALLY bad! The tan vinyl siding was green! YUCK! I did some, Duane did a little, but Mel did at least half of it, plus the back porch. So that’s done, and I won’t wait 2 years to do it again! I think I’ll start doing it in the spring AND in the fall.

I pulled a doozy on Friday. I called in my refill for my blood pressure medicine, of which I had taken the last pill Thursday night. I had to go out to pick up Kenny and take him for a job interview, so I was going to pick it up when I went by the pharmacy. Which I do at LEAST twice, because I have to go by it to go anywhere, and again to get home. Well, guess what I forgot? Yep, you guessed it, my medicine. I remember Friday night at 5:30, the pharmacy closes at 5, and isn’t open on weekends. sigh I was SOOOOOO mad at myself! But God got me through the weekend without my meds, and I already went and picked them up this morning and took one. My BP was fine all weekend, I checked it a few times. My resting pulse rate was higher than it usually is though. See my BP has always been fine. Throughout all my pg’s, fine. In the drs office fine. One day, I was having chest pains, so D took me to the ER. I ended up having a stress test. Which I promptly flunked! See my BP only goes up upon physical exertion. No prob as long as I don’t do anything! lol Not all physical exertion, just working hard. So that’s why I have to take bp meds. You got more than you bargained for when you came here today! lol

While we’re still on the medical front. I neglected to share that I have poison ivy. Up, after having it last summer for the FIRST time in my LIFE. I promptly get it this spring. hmmmmmm Hope this isn’t what my summer is going to be like. I’ve had it for over a week now, and it’s well on it’s way to healing. Putting straight tea tree oil on it helps to dry it up. D wanted me to put lacquer thinner on it. That’s what he does when he gets it. NO THANK YOU! What do I look INSANE? I’m not putting that stuff on my skin! “It only hurts if the skin is broken” says D Yeah right! Not doing it!lol I was going to post a pic of my arm. But instead, I decided to post a link to the The Grody Poison Ivy Slide Show THANKFULLY, I don’t have it as bad as these people! Hope and pray I NEVER do!!

Today, I have lots of housework and schoolwork to do. When you work outside most of the time, the inside stuff starts to slide. Time to catch up!! Since the weather man LIED and it’s going to rain today when I was told it wasn’t!, we can’t do anything outside. Ok, time to get to work!! Have a good day, even if the weather man lied!

I’ve been tagged by Geannie for a game.
Here’s how you play:
I pick 5 occupations out of the list below and post my answers.
Then I tag 3 other people to post their answers on their blog.
If I tag you, and you don’t want to be a part of this, then that is okay.
Just let me know and I’ll tag someone else.

The “questions”: If I could be a scientist…If I could be a farmer…
If I could be a musician…If I could be a doctor…If I could be a painter…
If I could be a gardener…If I could be a missionary…If I could be a chef…
If I could be an architect…If I could be a linguist…If I could be a psychologist…
If I could be a librarian…If I could be an athlete…If I could be a lawyer…
If I could be an inn-keeper…If I could be a professor…If I could be a writer…
If I could be a llama-rider…If I could be a bonnie pirate…If I could be an astronaut…
If I could be a world famous blogger…If I could be a justice on any one court in the
world…If I could be married to any current famous political figure…

If I could be a scientist… I would find a cure for cancer.

If I could be a farmer… I would grow truly organic food that would benefit our bodies the way God intended food to do. Not the food we buy in the stores now, that has little to no nutritional value.

If I could be a doctor… I would be a pediatric oncologist. I would work hard to care for and comfort the children as they go through this very difficult time in their lives.

If I could be a chef… I would specialize in cooking for chemotherapy patients. Healthy nutritious food to help their bodies fight the cancer and heal. Food that would comfort their sick stomachs, without over powering their heightened sense of smell. And LOTS of it for those on steroids. And I would donate it to those that needed it, but are unable to pay.

If I could be a llama-rider….. My llama would be named Tina, I would ride all day herding Boer Goats. (had to throw a fun one in! lol)

Ok, now to tag 3 people hmmmm………..

How about Lori and Jessica (are you still here Jessica?) and Melissa

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 NKJV
