Fence Update
Yesterday morning, we put up 50 feet of 2 feet high chicken wire. Using wire pieces to “twist tie” it on to the existing fence. Lunch break!!
In the afternoon, we put up another 50 feet. Then I took the kids to the store and bought them a snack and we stopped and rented the movie “Elf” Mel has been wanting everyone to see. We got home at about 3 and we all crashed. oh my aching back!
When D got home, he and the kids put up another 100 feet of fence.
This morning, the kids and I went out and put up 100 feet of fence before lunch. Guess we’re getting the hang of it, and can go faster. My back is killing me! and my hands hurt really bad from the wires. BUT the goats can’t get out!! They had been just walkng around our yard, but yesterday morning, they were in the road! Very dangerous for little goaties! So now they can’t escape. For the moment. Until they figure out another way to get out. sigh
I forgot to mention that one Wednesday afternoon We went to see Ice Princess at the movies. We all really liked it. Well, Zachary said it was too long, and for the last 30 minutes or so was heaving very heavy sighs. ROFLOL He did take a hot wheels car out of his pocket (that I didn’t know he had) and drop it on the floor. Amazing, but it landed right side up, and proceeded to roll towards the front of the theatre. ROFLOL Of course, it had to be at a quiet moment in the movie, and you could hear it rolling down. ROFLOL There were only 3 adults and 4 small children there, besides us, so it wasn’t a big deal. I’ll just have to remember to check the boys pockes BEFORE I take him to the movies again. ROFLOL
After we left the movies we stopped at Tractor Supply for more fencing. And we brought home two little chicks. They are now LIVING in a bin in the LIVING room until they are big enough to go outside. No need to ask, yes, I am crazy. Hence the name of my blog. ROFLOL The chicks are named Duck and Goose. ROFLOL
Calen just yelled “One of the chicks tried to eat a lady bug!” Yes, Calen, chickens eat bugs. “Well what kinds of bugs, worms?” Yes worms, and any other bugs they can find. “Ok, let’s go outside and get a WHOLE bin of bugs and bring it in for them!!!!!”
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re going out to put up fence to try and keep our little goaties in! Ha! Their great little escape artists! They act like there isn’t even a fence around them, they just go right through it. sigh
Maybe I’ll have time later for a real post! Don’t hold your breathe, though!

I’m finally starting to feel better!
On Saturday, I went shopping, even thought I didn’t feel up to it. I almost passed out in Walmart. sigh. Anyway, before W, we went to the bookstore. I had to get a couple of books for school. So we walk across the parking lot, Granny, Mel and I, and this young man with a ton of earrings standing on the sidewalk opened the door for us. hmmm Thank you. So we go to check out, and who’s behind the counter? yep, earring head. He proceeds to make conversation with Mel, well, he included Granny and I, also. Pretty slick, huh? Out of the blue, he says to Mel, “Whatever you do, don’t start smoking. If I’ve learned anything, in my short 19 years on this earth, it’s don’t start smoking.” I told you he was slick. He got in that he was 19, and a non smoker. lol Mel was onto his little game, and didn’t fall for it. YEAH!!! lol So I teased her on the way to the van and said “THAT’S why he opened the door for us! He didn’t do it for me and Granny, he did it for YOU!” lol I don’t know if she’s going to be mad that I blogged this, but I found it very shocking that this 19 yo earring head was trying to pick up my daughter in my presence. Maybe that’s part of his plan? Make the mother think he’s harmless? Yeah, well, I didn’t fall for it either! lol Do you think it’s time to lock up the aforementioned daughter?? Or mayber start carrying a shotgun?? LOL

Good morning! Anyone out there? *peers out* No one has been here in days. *pouts* I’m ok. I’ll get over it.
Well, I still don’t feel well. That’s ok. I’ll get over that, too.
Yesterday we got most of our seeds started. After running out to the store to get the starter trays. I had saved the ones from last year, but couldn’t find them. figures. The kids had fun, but were disappointed that we weren’t planting them outside. Good thing we didn’t. It’s snowing! They got up this morning, looked at the trays and said “Is anything growing” LOL Sure would be nice if the seeds did grow that fast. LOL
My goal for today is to sit around and do nothing. yeah right like THAT’S going to happen! LOL Ah, it’s weekly cleaning day in my bedroom and bath. I’m not sure if I can stand having so much fun in one day! Guess the first step is to get up and get moving!

sick sick sick sick! ugh! UGH!!!
I started feeling like I was getting sick Friday. Saturday morning I as ok. D and I went to a viewing, then Lowes, out to eat (without the kids!!!), then shopping. After we got home it hit me. I was miserable Saturday night and all of Sunday. sigh I did manage to get most of the groceries put away, and I cooked a turkey yesterday. I had to, it had been defrosted for a couple of days. Hannah and Duane are sick, too. D went to work today. It’s mostly his sinus’s that are bothering him.
So that was my weekend. Exciting, huh? We have piano today. The teacher call yesterday and asked if we could come today. But since H is sick, I’m not going to send her in. So only Mel and Calen will have lessons today. Hannah has been booking through her work, I can hardly keep her in books, so missing a lesson won’t put her behind. But actually, they work at their own pace. She doesn’t force them to work harder, faster. They’ll get little lectures to practice if they haven’t been, but that’s it.
So that’s about all I have to report. I am working on a list of things that bug me though. 🙂 Have a good day!
